Fines and Fees

Library fines on overdue materials are assessed as follows:
  •   - All Books - 35¢ per item, per day
  •   - Videos & DVDs - 35¢ per item, per day
  •   - CDs, Cassettes & Recorded Books - 35¢ per item, per day
These fines are only collected on materials returned overdue. The library charges the current, full replacement cost of the item for materials lost or returned damaged beyond repair, plus a processing fee of $5.00 per item. The library, through the Monroe County Library System, uses the collection agency, Unique Management Services, to collect library accounts of $35.00 or more.
 
Other fees charged by the library are:
  • Holds fees - $1.00 per item, to be paid when hold is picked up
  • Lost Library Card - $1.00 to replace lost card
  • Interlibrary Loans - $5.00 for each request plus the possible cost of obtaining the material from outside Monroe County
  • Black & white computer print-outs - 20¢ per page
  • Color computer print-outs - $1.00 per page
  • Copies - 25¢ per page
