History of the Ogden Farmers' Library

Picture
1815 – A group of farmers formed the library.  It was housed at the home of George W. Willey and contained 100 books donated by the founders.

1876 – A fire destroyed most of the library materials and records.

1902 – John T. Trowbridge writes a letter to the Ogden Centennial, noting how special the library had been to him.  This perked interest in recreating the library in the new village building.
